Submit a request through iLab or email SIS directly. We will schedule an initial consultation to discuss your needs.

The first consultation (30–60 minutes) is complimentary. Design review, engineering support and fabrication services are billed through iLab.

Yes. SIS accepts external projects in addition to serving UIC researchers. External clients should contact us directly to discuss project needs and receive guidance on scope, feasibility and billing.

SIS does not service centrifuges, vacuum pumps or pressure/vacuum vessels, -20°/-8°C fridges and freezers

Timelines vary by complexity and current workload. Small modifications may take a few days, while larger projects may require several weeks.

Yes. We handle modifications, adjustments or repairs to select research equipment, provided they do not fall under the excluded categories.
